In 2005, founder Richard Mathews started what would eventually become Motion Earthworks with nothing more than a lawn mower and a drive to work hard. Back then, Clean Cuts Lawn Service of Louisiana was just an after-school job — a way to make a little money and help out neighbors.

After graduating high school in 2009, Richard decided to turn that side job into something more. He officially formed Clean Cuts Lawn Service, LLC, and began building a reputation for dependable service and honest work. As the years went by, his business — and his vision — began to grow. What started with cutting grass soon expanded into larger projects like demolition work and roll-off box services.

By 2016, the demolition side of the business had taken on a life of its own. To keep up with demand and better serve customers, Richard founded Motion Earthworks of Louisiana, LLC as a separate company focused entirely on demolition and earthwork.

In 2023, Motion Earthworks became a fully licensed demolition company, marking another big step in a journey that started with one man and a mower. Today, Richard and his team continue to build on that same foundation of hard work, integrity, and a commitment to getting the job done right.
